David Landreth developed the original Bloomsdale spinach in the 1800s and today it is one of the top open pollinated spinaches on the market favoured by us. Slower to bolt in summer than most other varieties. Annual, frost hardy.
Sow in early spring and early summer for Autumn/Winter supply. Sow in trays and prick out to 4cm diagonal spacing when true leaves appear. Transplant at 20cm diagonal spacing into fertile soil.
