Garlic - Henry's Soft Top Eating Grade 200g

2017 Crop Situation: Due to moving our entire operation and having out first baby we have grown a smaller crop of garlic this year.  We have graded everything and do not have enough to sell seed stock this year. This is eating grade garlic and very nice, but the bulbs and cloves are smaller than what we would want to label as seed.  We included a standard matchbook in the photo so you can get a sense of the size.  Of course it can be planted and we will leave that up to you the customer to decide.  

A South Island heritage soft neck garlic. Outstanding garlic which produces the largest cloves we have grown. From the Henry Harrington Collection, a well known South Island seed saver. Medium to strong flavour. Great for plaiting. Long keeping.

Sow in May-August. Plant cloves15-20cm diagonal spacing pointy tip up in aerated, fertile, well drained soil that gets plenty of sunlight. Make sure soil is moist and then apply thick mulch directly after. Water if needed in summer. Harvest Dec-Jan. when leaves start to die back. Store with roots and tops on to cure.
