Garlic - Rocambole Eating Grade 500g

2017 Crop Situation: Due to moving our entire operation and having out first baby we have grown a smaller crop of garlic this year.  We have graded everything and do not have enough to sell seed stock this year. This is eating grade garlic and very nice, but the bulbs and cloves are smaller than what we would want to label as seed.  We included a standard matchbook in the photo so you can get a sense of the size.  Of course it can be planted and we will leave that up to you the customer to decide.  

A heritage hard neck variety with beautiful purple and white skin. Our strongest tasting garlic, with very high medicinal qualities. Not a long keeping garlic, best eaten January-May, although the smaller bulbs keep longer.

Sow in May-August. Plant cloves 15-20cm diagonal spacing pointy tip up in aerated, fertile, well drained soil that gets plenty of sunlight. Make sure soil is moist and then apply thick mulch directly after. Cut flower heads when emerging for larger bulb size, or keep for seed bulbils. Harvest Dec-Jan. when leaves start to die back. Store with roots and tops on to cure.
