A bush type French haricot vert, what more could you want.
Out of stock.
OH I got these seeds last year as my Mum requested a French haricot vert type bean. We were not disappointed with this heritage variety developed in France in the 1800’s. A filet bean best picked when young at 7-10cm in length to get the stringless stage. Eat fresh, stream or sauté. A bush variety, so does not requiring staking.
Sow in trays in glasshouse in September or direct in the garden when chance of frost has passed. From trays prick out when true leaves appear and transplant into fertile soil at 15-20cm spacing under a trellis for support. For autumn crop repeat sowing in January/February.
