NZH & OH Like to pick you salad leaf by leaf? Than this mix is for you. Both these lettuces are best picked as individual leaf. Can be sown as a mesclun or grown into mature lettuces, your choice. Includes: St Vincent and Red Salad Bowl. See the individual lettuces for descriptions.
Sow in early Spring, repeat monthly for continuous supply. For head lettuce sow into trays, prick out at 4cm diagonal spacing when true leaves emerge. Transplant into fertile soil at 20cm diagonal spacing. For mesclun direct sow in rows 15cm apart. As some seeds require heat to germinate, lettuces DO NOT germinate if soil temperature is too high. In summer we have found lettuces do not germinate in glasshouse conditions, instead we germinate them in our shadehouse.
